Jessica Silverman is delighted to present a selection of socially relevant works from gallery artists, including three art stars who are new to the roster: Andrea Bowers (represented by several signature cardboard wall-works), Clare Rojas (a magic realist oil painting), and Catherine Wagner (a historic photographic series that interrogates the gender of design). From this feminist hub, the exhibition spirals out to embrace: the poetic abolitionist photographs of Isaac Julien; post-apocalyptic ceramic figures of Rose B. Simpson; totemic resin encapsulations of Matthew Angelo Harrison; the call-to-community bells of Davina Semo; and new acrylic-on-canvas paintings by Luke Butler and Conrad Egyir.
