A dinner series by Quince at Hedge Gallery, San Francisco
August 13 – 16, 2014
Jessica Silverman’s exhibition, titled White Is The Warmest Color, explores the rich artistic tradition of minimal color from transparent sculptures through off-white works to bleached abstractions…
While Robert Ryman is the most famous creator of white art, this show is inspired by the cult Fluxus artist, Milan Knizak, whose 1977 work, “White Process,” declared that we should stay in a white room, eat only white food, paint white pictures, and amuse ourselves making white things. The gallery artists included in the show are: Amikam Toren, Christopher Badger, Hugh Scott-Douglas, Luke Butler, Ruairiadh O’Connell, Sean Raspet, Shannon Finley, and Tammy Rae Carland.
