Join Sadie Barnette for a lecture at Columbus Museum of Art discussing her project the New Eagle Creek Saloon (2019-ongoing). Honoring the legacy of the Eagle Creek Saloon, the first Black-owned gay bar in San Francisco, which her father founded in the early 1990s, Barnette reanimates the bar as a communal hub and gathering place, celebrating its resistant, joyous spirit.
